1/18/2018 0 Comments January 18th, 2018 The picture displayed was actually an original work done by me. This piece was made using adobe photoshop and it portrays a vintage-like photo of a shot of the woods. This is a work I am quite proud of because of the details relating to the "vintage" nature. This is seen in the rip damage as well as the over exposure.

1/17/2018 0 Comments January 17th, 2018This week's artist is Margaret Keane. Her artwork, like many others, is known for its distinguishing feature: it's eyes. Keane's style is well known for how the subject of the painting always exhibits large, doll-like pupils. Her works were very famous back in the 20th century, but back then, her ex-husband tried taking credit for her artworks. This illustrates the limited rights women had back then, as it took several years for her case to finally be put to rest in court.

He is known for his street art, often making his works possess some sort of social commentary. It is very unique how he does his work and it is something to be commended.
1/10/2018 0 Comments Week 1: January 10th, 2018 This was one of the photos that was selected for this year's art contest. After analyzing this picture in detail, it can be seen as to why. In itself, the photo is very unique, as it depicts nature, rather than everyday life, a common theme when taking pictures. The abundance of colors, ranging from warm oranges to deep greys and purples enhance the rocks, giving them a mystical appearance. Finally, the lighting and how the glare peaks through the rocks really makes the photo worthy as one of the top contenders in the contest.
