4/17/2018 0 Comments April 16th, 2018 This week's artist is from Spanish artist Picasso. This is one of his works during the early stages of his career. It is very well done, showing a good deal of design on the subject's dress.

4/12/2018 0 Comments April 13th, 2018 Another one of Van Gough's most famous works, as well as my second most favorite, we have the scream. I think in this one, Van Gough did a good job in warping the perspective, making the lines of the face and the background appear wavy. This is also one of my favorites because of the many parodies made from this artwork. I think this as well as the Mona Lisa are one of the most parodied artworks, which I appreciate.
4/12/2018 0 Comments April 12th, 2018 This ,as many may know, is starry night for Vincent Van Gough, who is also this week's artist. This piece has always been a favorite of mine out of all of his works. The light portrayed by the yellow colors gives off a warm feeling and goes in tandem with the dark blues throughout the entire portrait. I like to look at this painting and imagine how beautiful this scene would look if it was taken in a real-life perspective.

Title: Hands With Tools I have always had an appreciation for people who can skillfully sketch a portrait. It is because of this that looking at this drawing left me edified. There's so much detail in this sketch, from the wrinkles in the hand to the lines on the paper, to all the other objects in the background. 4/10/2018 0 Comments April 10th, 2018Artist: No Name
Title: Collaborative Sea Turtle Contrary to the other artworks i've admired throughout artsfest, I like how this one was drawn using oil pastel. Knowing how pastel works, it is clear to sea that this person (or people) know how to use it correctly. I like how each part of the drawing is sectioned, creating the illusion of colored glass. 4/6/2018 0 Comments April 06th, 2018 This was a work I did in photoshop in an attempt to imitate a splatter paint style. Looking at the end result, I am actually quite proud of it, which is rare with my creations. The sporadic use of color adds further eccentricity to the actual picture. If I could change one thing however, it would be to either add a background, or add more splatters to fill in the white spaces.
4/6/2018 0 Comments April 5th, 2018 These are colorful rocks that can be visited in Nevada. What makes this unique is how the artist managed to stack these rocks atop one another and paint them in this particular fashion. If you ever visit this site, you can see how blinding the colors may seem during the day. At night, the eccentric colors give a sort of warm contrast against the surrounding darkness.
4/5/2018 0 Comments April 04th, 2018 Because of the upcoming assignment, I decided to mention something that I wasn't aware existed until recently: sound art. The concept of this art genre is up to interpretation, but this is picture is an accurate description to how I see it. Normally, I'd view it as some sort of auditory demonstration but if I had to describe how it would look like, this would be it.
